ETERNAL LOVE

Jeremiah 31:3 … I have loved thee with an everlasting love…

Before the beginning of life…

Before the formation of this world…

When the universe was only a project in mind of God…

God loved human beings.

How can this be so? Can someone love someone else before knowing him or her?

Certainly the power of God and His wisdom is so great, that He “knew us” even before He created us.

And not only that, He also knew man was going to sin and disobey Him. His creation that He created with so much love was going to rebel against HIM!

If this is how it happened… why did God decide to create man in spite of all that man was going to do?

It was because of His eternal love.

Love that not only planned every detail of the creation of this world, but also planned the way to rescue and save man from man’s destruction and death, the product of man’s disobedience.

Could He have avoided creating us and retaining His love?
How could such grand love manifest itself if there was no creation to be the “object of that love”?

That’s why the love of God shows its sublime manifestation in “the cross of Christ”.

The death of Christ on the cross was not an accidental work, nor an improvised plan of God to face the condition of sin and perdition of man.

Before creating us, God assumed that sacrifice. Before being “creator” He was “savior”.

But in addition, we see a marvelous detail:
Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

This verse reveals to us that the “love of God” was not a general love without knowing each individual creation, but rather an “election”, in other words a personal love. He knew us by name since eternity, and He loved us individually too.

Dear reader what is your name? Add your name to the God’s declaration: “…I have love thee with an everlasting love…”

Have you thought about how much God loves you? Have you contemplated the perfect work of the love that Jesus manifested on the cross, dieing for your sins?

No human being can comprehend the enormous magnitude of the love of God… but in spite of this, He hopes that you will receive His love in your heart and in this way, begin to know Him.

Ephesians 3:19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Rejecting this eternal love brings with it “eternal perdition”, but if we receive this love, we will be beneficiaries of an “eternal life”.

GOD SAYS
I have loved thee with an eternal love… how can you ignore a love like that?
